Judge Posner of Microsoft trial fame and a noted legal scholar at the University of Chicago Law School inspired me, Richard A. Posner in Tokyo, Japan, to carry my own torch of truth to be contrasted with the elder Posner’s.
While we are not related, as far as I know, we do have a lot in common. He and I are Jewish. He and I are both from the New York City area originally. We both even have the same middle name with different spellings, his being Allen and mine being Alan. He is erudite and I am too, though my style reflects a greater connection with the common man than he could have from a federal judge’s seat.
My feeling is that my ideas can match his in depth and vision consistently. This blog is to let you judge Alan against Allen. The jury is out.
